I was listening to Jason Upton music a few days ago when I heard the song, “Write Every Day Down.” The lyrics really struck me. Can you imagine if the authors of the Bible didn’t write it down?? We have so much internalized knowledge and wisdom because people wrote about their journeys with God. People’s stories have been passed down for generations upon generations. It’s pretty incredible to know God in this way!
And what about our own stories? We all have valuable nuggets of experience, wisdom, and revelations from God that we acquire as we walk with him. Will those things be forgotten when we pass from this world? Or will the next generation benefit from our journey? Writing about our experiences and how Jesus walks with us along the way is a great way to build up those traveling behind us.
I hope that my experiences, my thoughts, and my process will be valuable to someone. I hope that God will use my life to build his kingdom, even after I’m gone.
